Hi Arnaud,
Unfortunately, we don't have any way of accessing text from Mozilla
editable controls. MSAA does not really provide decent support for
document objects, so we would have to interface directly with the
application and there is no interface we are aware of to achieve this.
Maybe we could find a way to make NVDA recognise that the field is
editable and thus disable the virtual buffer code, but you still won't
be able to read the text. Hopefully, a lot of this will be solved by
IAccessible 2 when it arrives.

basically, the screen reader believes that it's a web page, so one can't
actually type some text like in an editor and reread it.
otherwize, navigation in the Thunderbird software seems to read fine,
including message list, etc.
