I cannot afford all the screenreaders, but I'm lazy so if I have a working
reader I like it to work on what I'm doing.. Its not a really serious
problem, this gibberish, but I wondered what the cause was. Some kind of
info in the stream from Windows which nvda does not understand I suspect.
Its very rare but can occur in various programs.

hmph.
I never gone that hard with nvda on this sort of thing.
I do use nvda where its best at, avg some installers.
I usually use jaws if its to hard for hal and if its to hard for jaws I
use nvda and if its still to hard then its not worth it.

In avast, on the installer you get three choices one for install, one for
change and the other to uninstall. These change text which you can read
by a tab.
Now the three selections sound like just a cluster of random chars, but I
understand they do have words, but I'm blowed if this is what I get!
Similar problem exists in Outlook express options. In the item which says
highlight read messages in.... red, the red has gibberish as well.
Its it reading some attributes or something as I've noticed similar odd
character in other software which I put down to some textual graphic of
some sort.
Just wondered.
