The level of heading is quite important when generating a table of
contents and navigating around the page though, so that information
should be accessible somehow. I agree saying "H1" during reading is a
bit ridiculous however, "level one heading" might be better. (It should
be possible to turn such notifications off too, in order to increase
reading speed.)
