Yeah, I tried a little of Python but bailed out when some of the
examples didn't work for me. I'm sure it was the operator, not the
tutorial. Smile! Well, I'd really like to go ahead and learn it
because, being a pastor and pc helper, I think I have a pretty rounded
balance of people and what we need in the accessibility world, without
getting too picky.
I use FreedomBox System Access for screen reading; it isn't that old
either. NVDA does a nice job of letting the user know if there is a
list on a webpage and how many items are in the list. Not many screen
readers do this. We might want to take a look at having NVDA say,
Heading1 or Heading number 1, for example, instead of the current H1
H2, and so on. Though I do basic html and have written my website:
http://www.tonybroome.com
most of the end users might not care about knowing whether it's H1 or
H2, but might like to know that they are indeed encountering a heading.
Tony's two cents worth for now.
