[nvda] Re: So which version to download...

Yep, but keep in mind even when the new virtual buffers get released, whenever that may be, it will still only be for the Firefox web browser for now. There are of course plans to rewrite the virtual buffers for Internet Explorer but work on them will not begin until the virtual buffers for Firefox is completed. As for which is most stable from the snapshots page? If you go to www.nvda-project.org/snapshots/ you will find 2 download branches. The top branch is the experimental, latest and greatest builds. The branch below them is the builds that have been deemed to be relatively stable but keep in mind that you may not get some of the newer features and bug fixes if you choose to go with the stable branch. For the most part I have not had too many problems just installing the experimental builds with the exception of the occasional application no longer working with NVDA, but those bugs are usually worked out pretty quickly. ----- Original Message ----- From: "List account (downstairs)" <bglists@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

This is to speed up displays after the page loads, is that right? Its the one think which was a bit disappointing about the software, but when one considers what it is capable of, its pretty good.

Hello,

Actually there aren't too many options. You can either stick with version 0.5 or use one of three recent builds available at the snapshots page. According to my experiences builds posted these days are all quite stable the main thing which makes developers busy is still new gecko 1.9 virtual buffer implementation which is not integrated with the snapshots builds.
