Well, if it is XP, XP does not have SAPI 4 installed by default you have to
download and install it. Do you have any other software that you know is SAPI
4 that you can test and see if this is the case?

I don't know if this goes along with your problem, but neither of my sapi 4
drivers wil work on my laptop. They work just fine on my desktop, but I don't
know if it is because I've had so many snapshot versions on here that one of
them had drivers that worked well. My laptop only has version 05 with nothing
previous. Don['t know why this should be. Any suggestions?

If I have set NVDA to use the sapi4 Serotec driver, when I exit NVDA and
restart it, I hear the message that NVDA is started but that's it. I cannot
read the home page or anything else. Has anyone else had this problem. It is
ok of course when using the Microsoft driver.
