AT the end of the day ppl are ppl/ and as Gene said,"when in Rome...",
but let's just take this even a bit more off topic my friends.
I live my life by an enhanced golden rule, or at least try to. "What
does this fool mean by that?" say the masses.
If I do something that bothers you a little, but makes me very happy
then I can justify it, and the inverse of course holds: if I do
something that helps me a little, but bothers you a lot then I better
stop. If I do something that helps me a lot, but bothers a lot of folks
a little, then I get confused. You get the idea.
Lastly I'll say about convincing others of the worth of a logical point
of view that is new to them, and goes against an ingrained habit it's
like my high-school ROTC Sargent said-"tact is telling someone to go to
hell and having them look forward to the trip. You are maybe the most
diplomatic person on this list, bravo.
well we all have had our rants now, so back to NVDA, problems with
access, and hopefully more and better solutions for all of us.
I don't know how you post on usenet, or even if you do,
Dave. All I know is here you have always used good sense, and posted
clearly, and in a way that those of us blinder than you can find and
understand it. (or do you put little pictures of pretty women all
through your msgs?)
Maybe most of us need to start the revolution and try to limit reposting
of entire threads here. As Gandhi said "be the change you want to see
in the world."
Have a good Sunday fellow Grandpa.

Niko ,

Don't! I for one really am interested in your points of view, and
please take anything for what it's worth, we are often writing on the
fly, needing to get out the door to work, change a baby, or eat/sleep.
I talk as a friend here, but of course we can't see faces, hear tones of
voices, or in some other way sense irony, sarcasm, or playful jabs in
the conversation. (most of us are pretty dry here, and some don't speak
perfect English), but please nobody think this is not your list.
because your issues with NVDA are not the most common in nature. I
don't walk on egg shells with anyone here, nor do I expect anyone else
to do so.
I don't think you should feel guilty, for anything you have ever said
here.
Bravo, Niko! Another fine rant! As you state, below, We are not blindies
or sighties, we are people.
As one who has occasionally been made to feel guilty for using a physical
mouse with NVDA even though it has excellent capabilities in this regard

Did you not know? diversity is in style these days!
take care.
