there is a very good extension for FF called"febe" that will back up all
of your FF extensions and profile data. It is highly configurable, and
there is another add on for thunder-bird mad by the same ppl. (don't
remember its name)
There is also an extension that will let you export passwords to
anywhere you wish, but don't remember its name/never used it. FEBE is
great! The prob with t-bird, is its extensions for the most part do not
yet work with version 3.x, but this will change soon.
I have to go, and this is off topic for this list, but if you need more
assistance, write me a personal e-mail, and I'll will do what I can, and
give you the names of the good t-bird usenet groups, or just do a search
for any usenet groups that have thunderbird in the name, and....
mozilla.support.thunderbird, for example. There are a couple of mozilla
accessibility groups as well.
Good luck, and if you want a bit more guidance, you have my e-mail here
again.

I write it out so when this gets indexed or crawled somewhere sometime
on the net I don't have another unlocked door for the spamm-bots.

First, some background. I am geting a new Mini HP netbook with Windows
XP pro on it. The goal is to get all of the programs and emails off of
here and onto there when I finaloly get it. I already have NVDA saved to
a thumb drive so my husband can just clicl on it to install it for me. I
have it done this way bcause I also happen to have 'fireFox, the
versions of ESpeak and the IBM ViaVoice.
1. ow do I get all my emails in this version of Thunderbird over to there?
2. SAme goes for bookm, arks and plugins for Firefox. How do I export
those and save them to install on the new machine?
3. Can I save any specific files to have NVDA work just as it does on
this machine? An .ini file that I can replace over the one that's
created after I install? Where do I find it?
4. Anything else I ought to be concerned about?
Thanks for the assistance.
I am getting this computer ordered on Dec. 11, so I guess I can get it
anytime between then and Christmas. Maybe later, so I have time to set
things up for a relatively easy transfer. Any help appreciated.
Jane
