This happens if you launch it from a batch file I noticed the other day,
though its consistent if launched from the shortcuts.
As for why the sappi five fails, I'm at a loss, as it worked here, albeit
not very usably in my view.
If you do a reset of the machine then try straight away to install a clean
nvda, does that fix it?

One time I found I had two nvda.ini files in different folders. You might
have another old one somewhere. At that time, getting rid of both and
doing
a clean install restored SAPI5 for me.

Hi all,
it's as the subject says! i can't load sapi 5 using nvda it just says
can't load sapi5 synth, I have uninstalled deleted the configuration
file
and reinstalled an older version of nvda and stil now it does not work.
I can get K1000 working using sapi5 and text aloud works so my sapi is
working.
Can anyone help I can't remember how to send the log file sorry.
This is the furst time I have had a problem using nvda for such a long
time.
I hope we can get this working again.
