Kevin, I'd say Jarte is quite good enough for many word-processing tasks.
There are enough formatting options to print a well-presented letter or
report.
Jarte is not so good, though, for some things I regularly want to do, like
preserving bits of web pages as HTML. With that particular thing, Open
Office Writer is fine, and miles better than MS-Word, which imposes its own
peculiar style of code I've never seen anywhere else.
So it really depends on what sort of tasks you want to perform.
Vince.

Subject: [nvda] Open office or jarte.
Hi all,
I have open office on all my computers I have downloaded and installed
jarte,
I would like to know what is the advantage if any in using jarte over oo
if any?
I really just need a word processor now and again and I do use x l now and
again for a spreadsheet that i need access to.
But after all the mucking about to get open office accessible i would
maybe use jarte instead.
If anyone uses both I would be interested on or off list to find out what
the pros and cons are.
