Yes, it happens on both versions. Wich is odd, if you think about it,
since the portable version isn't supposed to be installed.

I have noticed this menu problem as well, and thought it was me. Is this on
both versions?

Subject: [nvda] NvDA Portable
Hello list members. I was just wondering whether it is possible to insert
a bit of code into the portable version of NVDA that will terminate it if
the removable device is removed with NVDA running. This is minor but I
keep forgetting to terminate NVDA before I remove muy flash drive and NVDA
goes crazy with error sounds. This need only apply to the portable
version, the installer version doesn't need to be changed. Also sometimes
after installing a new version of NVDA right after the installer is closed
and NVDA starts I cannot access the NVDA menu. When I press NVDA+N NVDA
says "NVDA menu" but there are no options to choose from. A restart fixes
this, but I'm curious why this occurs. This is not a complaint, just
curious.
Thanks
Kendell
