Hi all,
To those who are experiencing crashes when trying to open the synthesizer
dialog:
Is it possible that you still have the old Viavoice driver lying around
(either viavoice.py or viavoice.pyc?) If you do, this will definitly crash
the dialog.
I can't really fix this, it is due to that driver now being buggy since the
synthesizer structure has changed since the Viavoice driver was taken out.
Also check to see if you still have a sapi4.py or sapi4.pyc lying around, if
so, please also remove them, they also have bugs.
NVDA only supports sapi5 at this point in time.
Actually, now I think about it, it was my error, binary 315 will probably
have the viavoice driver accidentily included due to the way I package the
binary.
Very sorry about this, please delete viavoice.py and viavoice.pyc if they
are there, and I will make sure this is fixed in the next binary.
I am hoping that this should sove these crashes.
Mick
