Web forms shouldn't really exhibit inconsistency here, as web browsers usually always expose edit fields the same way for all forms. If you can find an example where an edit field does not work with Firefox 3 and NVDA 0.6p1 or later, please report.

In other applications, these problems are certainly possible.
