OK, let's add another attempt from me this time.

Technically speaking it is possible but the result will appear confusing like hell. For example you will start reading from the beginning. You will land on the 3rd line and then something interrupts you. You will switch into another window to see a new message or something else (that does not actually matter). Then you'll come back to your favorite editor and since NVDA can't retrieve current caret position it will start reading from the beginning.
