[nvda] Re: NVDA on pen drive?

Hi Rob,

All I do is once the auto run file brings up the NVDA, I press enter for it to start up and then I use it as normal. (I have the autorun.inf stored in my pen drive's main root directory so I can take it portable). This file will point towards the NVDA directory on my portable pen drive so when I plug it into the usb port it will auto run.Once I am finished, I press Insert + Q (which will close NVDA) and then just remove my usb pen drive. If you choose to close it, then you will hear the noise close down. If you want a copy of the autorun file just let us know.

For more information, Insert + N will bring up your NVDA interface. Then arrow down to help, and then to one called user guide (or whatever section you need under there).

Hope this helps
Gene

Hi!

New to NVDA and more so this list.

I have got a pen drive with NVDA on and it will run.

But as a portable means of getting a computer to speak, how does one
close the session - how to safely disconnect the usb mass storage device
while NVDA is running or how to get at that without NVDA.

I need something like this for a new VI student at B'am conservatoire in the
UK.

Thanks, RobH.
