[nvda] Re: NVDA and open office

Well it is the same thing as, you can't use any java enabled website as few as there are that are accessible without installing java first. It is not exactly Microsofts place to install Java for you. If a programmer chooses to make there product through java accessibility, you can't exactly ask them to completely redesign their years of work because someone does not understand how to make it work for them yet. Some things are up to the user of the product to learn how to use them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Tanner" <david-tanner@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I do understand that, and I am not faulting you guys at all for that. I just don't think it is going to be something that non-techies are probably want to tackle. It's sort of like I had to replace my wireless router yesterday, and I was able to accomplish the task, but had I not known a lot more about how to use my screen reader than most users I would not have gotten through the task without sighted help all the way through. As it was there was only one time that the screen reader would not tell me whether the button choice I wanted had been highlighted or not.
