I agree. However, this is beyond our control. The only way to attain accessibility in OpenOffice is via Java accessibility, and that requires the installation of the JRE and Java Access Bridge. This is not an NVDA requirement; it is an OpenOffice accessibility requirement. If OO ever implements IAccessible 2, things will be less complicated, but failing that, there is nothing we can do.
