It surely might be better if the log was in the nvda set of folders
rather than in some hard to find bit of the windows system.
This was changed for binary versions to allow them to run in situations where the user cannot write to the NVDA directory. This includes CDROMs, situations where the user does not have privileges to write to the NVDA directory, read-only USB keys, etc. An easier way to locate your temp directory is to type:
%temp%
into the address bar or into the run dialog.
