hi,
For the welcome dialog, maybe you could add options for the voice and synth?
HTH!

Subject: [nvda] NVDA 0.6p2 release imminent
Hi all,
NVDA 0.6p2, the second preview release for 0.6, is now scheduled to be
released on Wednesday, 6 August; i.e. about two weeks from now. This is
just under two weeks later than our initially proposed date, as there were
several issues we discovered which needed to be addressed.
Translators: Trunk is now declared frozen in terms of translatable text
and strings, barring any important minor updates. Please update and submit
your translations over the next two weeks in order for them to be included
in 0.6p2. Note that the user guide has (finally) been updated. A lot more
work still needs to be done, but this will be the user guide included in
0.6p2. The readme has also been reworked. In addition, it is important
that the Welcome dialog text be translated, as this is the first
experience that new users will have of NVDA.
Users: Please test the snapshots thoroughly, especially with regard to
portable support of Firefox 3. One of the major highlights of 0.6p2 is
that the IAccessible2 proxy dll no longer needs to be registered in order
for NVDA to be able to use IAccessible2. Special attention should also be
given to the new Welcome dialog, as this is also new for 0.6p2 and will
hopefully improve the initial experience for new NVDA users. Any other
major bugs should also be reported, although we cannot guarantee they will
be fixed by 0.6p2.
We're hoping to refine our release process somewhat during this release.
If you feel that two weeks is insufficient to update translations, please
let us know. If there are any other issues in relation to the release
process, also make them known. :)
Enjoy!
Jamie
