[nvda] Re: Miranda

The point being is that one _can change pitch, speed, and volume to installed sapi voices from with in many aps. 
(look at NVDA as an example)
Not all aps support this function however, so one is left with the config settings for sapi5 in control panel, but sapi4 is not controlable from there on XP AND later flavours of windows.

It actually does, and is working well. The problem is I don't like how
I've set the speech. I've set it to use SAPI4, and selected English,
British, Justin. But his voice sounds too high for my liking. How do I
change the pitch? Many thanks.

Hello all,
After Windows Live Messenger has given up the ghost on me, I have
switched to Miranda. I am using the latest version as of today, and
all seems to work well with NVDA 2010.1. I read, however, that it
supposedly supports Miranda by automatically reading incoming and
outgoing messages. Unfortunately, although I can read the history
fine, NVDA is not announcing anything else.
So does anyone know what I need to do to get this support working?
