Hi,
I have done this and the sinth does not show up, any other ideas? I would
like this to work not really for my self but for some new users of nvda who
don’t really get on with espeak.
I will try later on another computer. when I try to install the hazel voice
it seems to come up and says something about configuring the voice then it just
disappears. stranger and stranger.

You've done nothing wrong. You have to look under voice settings to find
actual synths for Microsoft speech platform.

Here I'm using the latest version, 11.0, on XP, and it's working propperly.
The 11 was released last month. The latest might have some enhancements, so get
the 11.
Peace,
Edu.

Hi okay I went to the page that you just sent me on where to get the
Microsoft run time 10.1 or whatever it is.
When I went there I see there is an 11.0 down load of that now.
So do I want the 10.1 or the 11.0 or doesn't it matter if I take either
one?
Also if I select either the 10.1 or the 11.0 down will I get to a page
asking me if I want the 32 or 64 bit version of this before it down loads it?
Then after I down load that then how do I down load and install the
voices so they will work when I would like them to in NVDA?

hi okay but where do you go on the internet to get this speech from
Microsoft?

My attempt to make this MSSP working, was as follows:
First I've installed the runtime; then, I've installed the voices I
wanted, separately.
Using the NVDA 2011.3RC1, on XP, it's working... The only thing Ive
noticed is that the voices don't seem to respond quickly at a key
press.
But the voices are good. Its performance with NVDA at least on my
system
does not compare to ETI Eloquense.

hi can you tell me how to install this platform and how to get

You have to install the 32 bit Speech Platform RunTime for
NVDA. It is
working here.

Seems that the Microsoft speech platform doesn't work with
nvda. Am I
wrong? If so, what do I need to do to fix this? I have
installed one
voice and the 64-bit run time.

Yes, the other dialects are most likely leftovers from 10.2

probably be upgraded in the next version. Zira pro is the

usually use.
