[nvda] Re: MathML

Hi Michael,

This is not possible at present. It needs work by the browsers as well; there is no standard way of making mathematics accessible.

There is a proprietary plugin for IE called MathPlayer which can make maths accessible, but NVDA does not currently work with this. It may be something we address some time in the future.

I'm a newbie on this list, so I apologize if this has been discussed
before. However, I cannot find anything about MathML on the NVDA website
or in the mailing list archives. Does anybody know if NVDA can speak
mathematical notation embedded in a web page using MathML? If not, has
there been any discussion about trying to make this a feature?
