[nvda] Re: Latest snap23 comments on log out

I regret to say that this morning, one of my machines is suffering from the two voices at shut down effect again. Snap 23 is still the one, and everything else is the same as well.

Seems a bit random. Also the voices start in sync but drift out because I imagine I deliberately set the voice in the main reader slightly faster than the default, and so it has to be both voices , not a double triggering of the service version.

I'm still pondering on the settings for the service. If i want to set that voice, at present, I get cardspace to generate the error so its read by the service version, then configure and save the settings, This seems to work so I can have almost any voice I want it seems.

Hi, well this machine was totally silent after the close down bleeps.
I'd rather like to suggest it would be nice to have a method to allow
this speech as if you get a naughty bit of software stopping the machine
shutting down, it at least lets you have an idea what it is.
When NVDA starts, it requests that Windows shuts it down as late as
possible. This is all we can do. Did you have an application not
responding dialog appear even after the NVDA exit sound? I haven't seen
this since I made this change some time ago.
