[nvda] Re: Installing open office and getting it to work with no assistance.

It must be very frustrating.
I have not tried the steps you are undertaking but just as a suggestion I
would restart your computer between the access bridge install and the open
office install if you have not tried that. In fact in your current position
I would un-install the java components and re-install. Then restart and try
re-installing open office.

You have probably tried all this but just a suggestion. Best of luck.

Vince

Thank you for the instructions. I ran "Java2sdk1_4_1_07
"; which installed fine. I then ran "Access Bridge 2_0_1"; which
installed fine. I installed " Open Office 3_x"; which installed fine. I
ran the Open Office Writter, did ALT -T, typed "O" and down arrowed 10
times. I then pressed ALT - A and after pressing Enter, I got:

No Java Access Bridge
OpenOffice.org 3.0 requires a Java Access Bridge 1.0.3 or later version to
support accessibility.
OK

Huh!? I just installed Access Bridge 2_0_1.
