Not trying to be rigid and not having a bad day either. Sorry you think my
comments were rude and poorly thought out. Of course anyone is free to make
Itunes work with NVDA. I don't think it's the core teams desire at this point
in time though to support it when there aer so many other things to get going
correctly first.

Rick, I think that's a very fridgid stance to take.

It's sertainly true that iTunes is not a commonly used app in the blind
community, and it's also true that nvda needs work on many aspects of windows,
internet explorer being a prime example. Yes, it's also true that nvda is
still a very new project, and the main, I want to stress main, developers have
a lot on their plate right now to wit iTunes accessibility is not and probably
should not be a priority for the next stable release.

Having said all that, NVDA is not jaws or window-eyes. There are not a
limitted number of people who can work on it, and there are very few time/cost
considerations. Python and it's manuals are free, and there's nothing to stop
any one with the inclination from learning. You, or I, or Jose, or any one who
chanced to see the original request could write the support, or maybe they
already were, and hadn't said anything because it's in development and they
didn't think many people would be interested. Such person could not only write
extentions, but they could rewrite parts of the main program to suit them in
the iTunes world.

I agree that this isn't too likely, but I also think it's a bit premature
to come down on some one and make them look small for requesting a feature they
use all the time. Maybe he already got with the developers and offered to
donate if he could get this access and switch full time. Maybe you're just
having a bad day, but it doesn't sound like these two posts were very well
thought out. We should not go around discouraging people even if their
aspirations aren't entirely realistic or in line with ours.

We really should consider that before requesting certain things to be supported.

There are so many other much more important things than ITunes that
the team should be working on.

ITunes just isn't that big a deal to the majority of us.

Actually I have an iPOD Shuffle not a nano or a video. So I can't
put rockbox on it.

              Hi,

Not sure how NVDA would handle this, but ITunes uses custome
Apple controls i believe. Maybe the IAccessible libraries have a fix for this?
Also have you tried rockbox? I'd put a direct link to the site here but my
links never become links on the other end, at least not how i want them to. The
site is rockbox.org.
I am also on there forums as big d.

Hello; Listers, I don't post much. But I got an idea for the
next release of nvda. How about support for iTUNES and iPOD? Let me know about
this idea because some of us have iPODs and we would like to put music on the
iPOD. If this happends I'll give up JAWS anytime!
