[nvda] Re: HTML support

Hello,
the truth is, I've got not a real problem with that. The only problem is I asked for these HTML hot keys when they didn't work. 

The problem can be there for other people.
I can start NVDA without JAWS.

But it seems to me, it is not correct behavior of NVDA.
But I can say I am very satisfied with this screen reader.

So thank you and developers.
As for the Peter just one point there is not the way as it behaves in my case. 

6) my default page in internet explorer is google.com so when it gets
opened I am able to use f for next form field and shift+f for prewious
formfield with NVDA.


Maybe it is of  NVDA version. I have tried it with last stable version.

You have gotten a suggestion which should solve the problem.  However, there
is no reason to have JAWS or any other screen-reader running to run NVDA.
You can either make a shortcut to the exe file if you are running the
portable version and assign a shortcut key, or if the program has an icon on
the desktop, you can do the following with another screen-reader running:
Go to the desktop.  Press home to move to the top of the list.
Type n until you get to the NVDA icon.  Count the number of times you need
to do this.  Then, in future, you can simply unload JAWS or whichever
screen-reader you are using,  and follow the procedure I described above,
that is, go to the desktop, use home, etc.  When you are on the icon, press
enter to run NVDA.

I am not just going into this as a question of how to run NVDA.  There are
times when it is very useful to think about patterns and how you would do
things with no screen-reader running.  It will help you in cases where you
loose speech and want to try to shut down a program such as a screen-reader
with no speech.  At times, a program may have a problem where you don't have
speech whether a screen-reader is running or not.  In a case like this, it
is very useful to think about what is on the screen.  Probably you are in a
window with a don't send button.  Pressing the space bar may solve the
problem because the button usually has focus.  Then you try running the
screen-reader again. You may find other times when knowing what is on screen
and what pattern to follow when no screen-reader is running is useful.  I
don't know if you already do this at all.  My main point is that many blind
people assume they must have a screen-reader running to do anything.  This
isn't true and it is useful to realize that if you know what the order is of
what you are doing and understand what commands you are using, you can do
things with no screen-reader running in cases where this is either necessary
or very helpful.

I'm sorry. As I press INS+F2 to have JAWS short keys working (INS+F4) to shut down JAWS the HTML hot-keys of NVDA also lost their functions.

Hello,
Can you be more specific what are you looking for please?
NVDA can read webpages in mozila firefox and in internet explorer to some degree.
I know a little number of screen readers but none of those I know can read html documents it-self.
