[nvda] Re: Good news!

I don't like sceren layout though, that's the problem. I don't see why we can't just have a filter blank lines checkbox. It'd make things a lot easier, and yet each link would be on a separate line instead of me havin to arrow over to the mand click them.

Hi

I wonder if under the vertial buffers part where it says use screen layout if that is unticked, maybe that would fix your problem. I know if that is o when I use a webpage I get more blank lines when arrowing down, but if unticked, its alot better. also under that sectionif you tick the 2 boxes before the audio thingy under there it will automatically let you type in edit areas on the web as well, makeing it more like another I use now and again.
Make sure you save your settings and see how that goes

If there's one thing I wish NVDA would do, I'd like it to eliminate some of the blank lines on webpages. It has a lot more of these than jaws does after rendering a webpage, and while it's not a huge problem, I wish we were given the option to get rid of those. What do you all think?

Hi,

And I like how it's free. I use a virtual machine on a Mac, and even that works amazingly well. It's really responsive as opposed to other products in this kind of environment, considering its specifications. I even do my online banking with NVDA just to see if it'd do well, and it works great. I'm still getting used to how NVDA positions links on websites, but that's easy.

Hi Daniel!
Welll, my friend let me tell you that in my opinion NVDA is really good on windows 7. I Have the other reader and just left it. NVDA is so fast!
by the way, with videohooks NVDA will be the number one.
Some of my friends who are trying the versions with videohooking say they already do very nice things.

Also just wanted to add, if more people know about it the better it will gain in popularity! Of course I am not bashing FS hear because to be fair jaws is good too. I would proably use it if I had the money but I don't. But what I'm trying to basicly say that there are other choices out there now and its great for one to have choices!

hi Chris, that's good news. I must admit I personally think its more
responcive than jaws.
I love it because I don't have to use a 40 minute demo and restart my
computer all the time.
Now I can use a screenreader that's has no retrictions on time and best
of all its free!

Hello all,
I have finally convinced my girlfriend, whose on this list I believe, to switch over to NVDA full time, which she will do from this weekend!
She's impressed with the support it offers; I was able to show her
what she might use NVDA for over the phone and she was impressed and
thinks it's more accessible than JAWS!
So thanks developers for such an outstanding product, because it's
encouraging my friends to switch over full time!
Keep up the good works!
