[nvda] Re: Gecko X(HTML) role strings

Hi Benjamin,

I just guessed really, just because from my experience em and strong only caused text roles, not em and strong roles, so I just assumed the rest of the phraise elements didn't work either.

But if it says they do, then they must.

However, I'm not sure why you test isn't showing you q properly. We'll see when I get a bit more of the buffer done.

I have also been waiting on some help from Arron from IBM who designed the
Mozilla windows accessibility, but he has been unable to help me with
getting access to his dom, however he has given me a temporary solution so I
will be writing that in these next few days hopefully.

Ah, cool.

From what I can see, Gecko only sets role strings for its more common block
elements (headings, tables, lists, links etc) but not inline phraise
elements like b, center, em, font, i, q, span, strong, sub, sup.

According to http://www.mozilla.org/access/windows/at-apis#knowndif ,
Gecko sets role strings for ABBR, ACRONYM, and Q among the HTML inline
phrase elements. What are you basing what you're saying on?
