Jarte 3.1 will include a new text based status bar that will be used when Jarte is running in screen reader mode. Per your suggestion, I will enhance the new status bar so that it will provide the current table row and column numbers when the text insertion point is inside of a table.
I'm not sure if all screen readers are capable of reading a program's status bar. So, you might want to check with NVDA's author to see if NVDA has that ability.
