[nvda] Re: Free Dictionary/Thesaurus

Hi, I may give WordWeb a try then with NVDA 0.6P1. Thanks all for the help, greatly appreciated.

On my laptops (but generally using normal USB keyboards), the dictionary
software works fine in terms of navigating/reading by simply tabbing
around, and using things like up and down arrows to make selections,
then hitting enter to in fact activate them etc.

Hi Vince, thanks for the help. On my HP notebook I do not have a
numeric keypad. Of course I have the FN functionality, but for some
reason they generate numbers and when I tried to turn num lock off it
actually turns the right side of the keyboard into a numeric keypad.
Therefore I'm asking, can you use the standard arrow keys to read the
definitions that Wordweb produces? What about the list of synonyms and
so forth? What about the lookup box? Sorry for the many questions, and
thanks again for the help.

i've tried Wordweb, and it seems reasonably accessible, though I use the
numeric keypad keys quite a lot to check what I'm reading.

Hi all, does any of these work with NVDA? If so which ones? For
example, does WordWeb work with
NVDA? Thanks!
