Hi,
Where do you get Viavoice from, and is it free?
Thanks

hmmm, strange, I don't seem to be having those kinds of problems. It reads through menus just fine for me. One note I will make is that if you select IBM Via Voice as your speech you have to make sure that you have IBM Via Voice installed on your computer already. NVDA does not install ViaVoice. Another thing I will note is that SAPI 5 is not going to be as responsive as Via Voice or Eloquence. Also, by default on XP machines SAPI 4 is not installed out of the box. You have to download that from Microsoft. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Hallsworth" <chrishallsworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Forgot to mention also that the start menu didn't speak, only the shut
down button is spoken. I tried it with only the Windows XP default start
menu, so maybe that's not supported yet. Thanks again for the programme.
