You can adjust pitch and pitch-range in the voice files, in
C:\Program Files\eSpeak\espeak-data\voices

For example, if you are using the EN voice, then edit the voices\en\en
file.

Add a line:
pitch 82 117

The voices\en\en file already includes this line. These are the
default values.

Now change the values. If both numbers are the same, then it will be a
monotone. Higher values give a higher pitch. A greater difference
between the values will give a greater pitch range.

If you find a good pair of values that sound better than the defaults,
then let me know.
