[nvda] Developing software synthe voices

Hello,
I direct this message primarily to those developing NVDA if they are on the 
list, but others may have information on this as well.

Software synthesizers are fascinating to me, and I would like to read about how 
they are developed.  I'm not sure if I have the computer programming knowledge 
to do it myself, but I would at least like to read about it.   Can anyone 
direct me to some useful information about this topic?
