[nvda] Re: Can I have two NVDA installations?

Thanks Brian.
but I don't run NVDA from startup.
Also, this curssor not reading issues is only on webpages. I too use Ii.e. 6. Because with Outlook Express and other applications the cussor moves and reads fine.

but this issue is only after installing both versions. and only in i.e.

cheers,
Ravi.

Also, if one has another screenreader set to run at start up, it can hijack the hotkeys so you end up wiht a mess. I have switching batch files with only one reader booting on start. The batch files are in the root and are trigered by desktop sortcuts on right alt 1 2 and3, with special versions for reboot nvda with log from last session etc, loaded in notepad.

I also have the portable version on v.

I always run one ver of nvda from the installer/standard
installation/program-files, and the other from the zip portable package
from a folder I put somewhere else (usually in my docs, but could be
anywhere-has a shortcut to run it on the desktop, and in start menu) I
would make real sure that the installer vers are not both set to run on
start up if you are doing it all from installer vers.
Just don't like to take chances.

Hi,
Greetings!

I have just downloaded the NVDA 2009.1 RC installer and the 3354
Snapshot installer versions.
And installed the 2009.1 under the NVDA folder in Program files,
and installed the Snapshot under a new folder as NVDAS in Program files.

But, I find when I try to navigate in a web page, it does not read
through the curssor.
Only could move through the NP(number pad) navigation keys.
Could this be because of the two installation of NVDA?
Or is there any settings to be modified in the NVDA menu?

and if I need to have both versions, how can it be done please?

Appreciate any help please.

Have a pleasant day!

Regards,
Ravi. ,
