I'm relatively new to NVDA and am trying to set it up on a new vista
machine with an ALVA Satellite. I read through all the documentation on
using brltty, but got kind of intimidated given the spottyness of the
various manuals. I also wasn't convinced that brltty will work with Vista.
Does the ALVA Satellite provide a virtual (emulated) serial port? If I
remember correctly, it doesn't, which will present a challenge if using
it under Vista in conjunction with other screen readers on the same
system. I'd like a better way to support the ALVA Satellite, but we need
a lot more information than we have.
