Hi.
Oh and btw, I did change NVDA to brltty under the braille settings and saved
that.

Hi.
Ok I connected the brailliant 32 and did net stop brlapi. I got a
confirmation that was telling me it was stopped. Net start brlapi after
that, and it did say it was started. No braille though. Brailliant is
connected via USB, and it is set to use the USB port, the brailliant is I
mean. I haven't gotten to use it much, it's brand new. I've had it working
with jaws some though. I installed the libusb win32 after I installed
brltty. But I didn't start the brlapi till after that, when I stopped and
started the service. To answer the question about which brltty I'm using,
I'm useing the installer you made and linked to at the very beginning of
this thread.

Hi.
I installed libusb win32 after installing brltty. I'll try net stop and
start when I get home where my displays are and see if that helps.
thanks.

For the PacMate, you can just use NVDA's native Freedom Scientific
braille display driver, as long as you have the FS drivers installed.
I installed brltty, lybusb win32 filter.
How did you install BRLTTY? Did you use my BRLTTY installer or just the
zip archive? Note that using the zip archive and then install.bat is
essentially the same as using the installer. Also note that you should
have libusb-win32 installed *before* you start the BRLTTY service.
Btw, you can start and stop the BRLTTY service as follows:
net start brlapi
net stop brlapi
You need to do this with admin privs.
I even found the
brlapi installer inside the brltty program files folder and installed
it.
You only need to do this if you are running from source. The brlapi
Python bindings are included in the NVDA binary snapshots.
