Yes, I spent some time last night with the machine which does not get into
the loop and just gives the error I posted, but there seems no real clue as
its just a not implemented error.
With regard to refresh. It never works for me if I pick custom, I alway see
the privacy statement under the number of critical updates til I do a nvda
f5.
Also in some cases there is no way to 'see' the update if there is only one
from the list. Still not sure what is going on. I just wish Microsoft would
use a simpleer web site design, there seem to be so many bits overlayed on
other bits its a recipe for disaster.
Now the Windies update has thrown in the towel, I guess we have to use the
darned thing.
Incidentally, do you know why on some links on some websites, clicking a
link switches to the desktop in IE? You only seem to be able to select and
get the link by entering focus mode and tabbing to it.
I do not have an example yet, as I lost the link but I'll try and find it
again, if its important.

There is still the bug in Windows update that seems to leave the IE
process taking 99 percent of the processor time, effectively silencing
nvda when you select a checkbox in a custom update frame.
I've since been able to reproduce this, but am unfortunately no closer
to figuring out why. It's particularly odd in that it causes an infinite
loop of some sort, but it doesn't seem to be our code. Windows Update
was going so slowly the other day that it was almost impossible to
debug, so I'll try to take a look it another day. Hopefully, I'll still
be able to reproduce it!
You also need to do at least one nvda f5 to get the text up in the first
place after some of the choices and I guess these are nested frames of
some sort.
I've seen this on and off too, but definitely not always. Again, I'll
try to debug it further. Rest asured that we're aware of the problem.
