[nvda] Re: Anyone else experiencing delays with new virtual buffers?

Yes I notice it more in Ie and usually have to refresh the page then at times it acts ok and links etc not taking you anywhere etc but I know they are aware on some of these. by the way I am trying out ie8 with latest snapshot. I usually use firefox for browsering.

I have noticed some odd intermittent delays, but not sure what you are doing so cannot say if its the same cause. In my case it is on some pages, but not always. The only clues I see in the logs are those multiple warnings posted in other logs of late, so it may well be that for some reason, in some instances, a long and tortuous error train occurs which eventually drops out OK, but takes some time to get there. Yes, Firefox seemed to update the same time as the new nvda which is a littlw annoying. On IE, some of the errors I've seen seem to be due to the nvda buffers not knowing what to do with stuff, and indeed the exit is often carrying over a flag that makes Python not happy by the looks of it.

I'm using version800 for my main system, and only testing the snaps at the moment till they behave the same as this one on most normal applications.

Subject: [nvda] Anyone else experiencing delays with new virtual buffers?

Hello,

Ever since a few days ago when I installed the version with the new
virtual buffers, I have been experiencing long delays in Mozilla. By
delays I am speaking of waiting about a minute just to open an email
on the Gmail site. I am wondering if the problem isn't with Mozilla
itself but don't know how to check that out. So I just wanted to know
if anyone else has experienced an increased delay with Mozilla since
the new virtual buffers were introduced. There are no delays in
regular use other than with Mozilla. Coincidentally, I think there
may have been an update to Mozilla around the same time, something
having to do with some sort of security patch or something...

Thanks for any feedback.

Laz
