[nvda] Another good thing with regard to NVDA and VS.Net 2005

Hi

Currently having a small problem with regard to my normal combination of VS.Net 2005 and Jaws 8.0.xxxx.

For some reason (that nobody on either of the main blind programming mailing lists seems to have any ideas about), my installation of Jaws, including the latest version of the relevant scripts etc. isn't doing what it's supposed to when in the design mode for an ASP.Net webpage since in the past you could just tab around from control to control.

My problem at the moment is that Jaws says nothing to me so while for some of the required functionality I can as such work in the source mode (where NVDA unfortunately can't 'read' the text), there are some parts of the functionality that can't be done from there like, for example, getting VS.Net to automatically generate some of the 'starting' code for certain built-in events for the controls.

I know that in the past I did mention that the basic navigation functionality of NVDA (parent-child-sibling etc.) does offer some bits of functionality that you don't as such get with Jaws etc., and I have now again just figured out that for some things like this I do in fact at this stage need NVDA since I can then get into the page control, it's children like a table therein, into it's children cells, and their children textbox/button controls etc. where I can then access context menus, start the code generation functionality etc.

Basically I'm just saying thanks to you guys again (and obviously again mentioning that I wish the video intercept functionality was there so I could use this to actually 'work' as such) since NVDA is again providing something that I need that the others don't seem to be able to provide, and I just wish I'd figured this out last week when I was doing a technical assessment at a job interview and got 'stuck' before I could 'finish' it off - LOL!
