Hi,
I have been away for a couple of days, and have just checked my email. I am
just a bit perplexed about the reasons behind all of the flame emailing going
on. What I have read have been mostly getting upset because of a difference of
opinion. Now, while an opinion can be based in fact, whether a person likes
the fact or not can also be a matter of opinion. Here is my opinion about the
entire thing. All software will have features that we both like and dislike.
Mac OS will do things that Windows and Linux won't do and also the same can be
said for any software for that matter. So, my opinion is, this is an email
list for an open source screen reader called NVDA. While NVDA does not have
all of the features that I would like it to have, it does have features that I
like about it. The same goes for all of the other screen readers out there.
So, instead of all of us getting upset with one another about this is better
than that and this needs that, why not just say, to use a boxing term, it is a
split decision and move on. Now while I am sure that all of you will have an
opinion about what I have said, before the flaming continues, let's just agree
to disagree and try our best to get back to what this list is intended for,
NVDA a free and open source screen reader for Windows. Have fun and all have a
nice day.
