[nvda] Re: AVG9 compatible?

Ah, but malwarebytes is not totally accesible with nvda. It works well with Hal, but only if you have the virtual cursor working.

I'm thinking of going down the MS essentials route when they stop doing updates for AVG 8.5.

Incidentally, could someone tell me why the html screen avg pops up reads in Hal but not in nvda?

I was using 2.x/how easy to access is 4.0 with NVDA? I could actually
read almost everything, but it is not very intuitive for me, and I had
trouble with accessing and configuring some of the controls when there
was a detection. It did work well, but avg/backed by clamwin, super
anti spyware, and a rather powerful little program malwarebites
antimalware keep the bc dr. away.

Thanks/like 8.5 too. Used not32 for years, but not as speech friendly
as I'd like, but didn't have the newest versions, avira was a bit
nicer with speech, but gives a lot of false positives. AVG is not the
fastest , but there are slower ones out there, and good support all
around protection, and it always rates high in detection. I have other
scans to go in and check after a detection, and some times clean up
left overs.
Anyone know if spy ware dr. works with NVDA? (better said if NVDA can
read what is going on with spyware Dr.
So guess I'll upgrade Sunday when I get home to a good ISP/I'll be at
work with the squirrelly and slow connect till then. Good night if you
are in the Americas, and if you are somewhere else well good whatever.

Haven't noticed anything, Bert, and I've had AVG 9 for about a month. I
rather like its obvious presence on my system, including the e-mail

original version 8 was a pain, but they soon put it right. It's slower
than some other anti-virus software, but I'll put up with that.

I have been using the avg free (8.5) full package as the backbone of
my anti virus/malware protection for about half a year now, and like
its results, and accessibility. (switched from not32 which is less
than intuitive, and doesn't read out as I'd like with the4
screenreaders I have(although it is quite effective)) I have others
installed, but they are set up to scan daily or when I say/no
"realtime protection". Just got an upgrade anouncement for avg 9.0..
Any new access issues?
