Hi, I do read them in HTML format, but what is very interesting is that they
read perfectly in 0.5. So, what changed since then would be the question I
would pose.

Support for HTML sources other than Firefox and Thunderbird has regressed since 0.5. This is mainly due (I think) to changes which have been made generally to NVDA which have not been maintained so well in the old virtual buffer code. Basically it is considered dead code and no work is currently being done to improve it. This is because it will ultimately be replaced with the new virtual buffer code as soon as Internet Explorer support is written for the new virtual buffer library.
