Re: [nvda-translations] File Encoding problem:

Hi Mesar and all.

Yes, my notepad plus plus have that option into encoding menu. I have checked the option utf-8.

Another thing: Yes, the status bar show the line, the column, the encoding, the mode insert, etc.

Regards.

Juan.

I dont have access to windows at the moment, but notepad plus plus should have
an encoding
option in its file menu. If my memory is correct, it also has a default option,
which should
be set to utf-8 without bom.
I cant remember if it has an option to automatically and always convert to
utf8, but if it
has, it is best to have this checked.

If someone can find the exact options please share, and we can put it on the
wiki.

@ondrej, I think notepad plus plus also has the line number in its status bar.

Thanks,

Which text editor are you using? I am also littlebit comfused about
encoding but I know that it is necessary set encoding to utf8
without boms. I use akelpad with autosave plugin for this purpose
because notepad seems to not save it correctly and I also like
akelpad because i can see number of line on status bar which helps
me to check if lines are matching with original source. But maybe
someone should provide better way of solving this issue.

Hi Mesar and all.

The system is sending e-mails with the next message to me:

"Please save the following as unicode UTF-8: changes.t2t: data"

I'm reviewing my spanish and galician changes.t2t files and the encoding
format seems correct.

Any suggestion?

Juan.
