I suggest also:
1. As proposed by a member of spanish mailing list, add an edit box to
filter results and search quickly the emoticon to insert.
2. Use the isEmoji property to indicate if the selected icon is an emoji
or ascii chars, since perhaps the convenience deppends on the
application where it will be used.
3. Not use a settings dialog, as suggested by Joseph for the Day of the
week add-on, whose main author is Abdel though I contribute its gui.

add others suggested by translators or users.
2. Delete or move in the bottom of the list all Skype smiley. These
