No, what's unique is that Stone Mountain is an isolated monolith, like 
Gibraltar. It's well east and south of the Appalachian ridge.

    I've heard of Stone Mountain, GA before.  Is it in Appalachian?  It appears 
that more and more public parks require pro photogs to pay fees in advance.  My 
state is one of them.
