Welcome to the NASA Web site
Robin Whirlybird on Her Rotorcraft Adventures
This web site was made possible by funding from the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA) Rotorcraft Base R & T Program. It was developed
by NASA Ames Education.
This educational web site is designed for classroom use by teachers and
students in Kindergarten through grade 4. It is also designed for homeschool
use and for use by those who are interested in rotorcraft.
The web site is actually an on-line, interactive book about one girl's visit
with her mother to the rotorcraft research center at which her mother works.
Not only is the story enjoyable to read with its full color pictures, there
is also a lot to do on each page besides read the story. Each button within
the menu bar allows the student or user to explore other topics about
rotorcraft as well. Exploring with your cursor the illustrations on each
page, and clicking on hot spots will also bring up more rotorcraft information.
From all involved with this project we hope you enjoy learning about and
exploring the world of rotorcraft.
