ANDREW GREELEY TALKS BACK
Much of what is said in the media to explain sexual abuse in the Roman
Catholic Church is just flat-out wrong. Andrew Greeley examines the
profession and the storm that swirls around it in his latest book _Priests:

LAKOFF DISPENSES ADVICE TO DEMS
Will a cognitive scientist play a key role in this year's Presidential
contest? Lots of publicity surrounding George Lakoff's 2002 book _Moral

etc.  Lakoff has already influenced at least one of the Democratic

Congratulations to Chicago-native Stuart Dybek, whose story collection _The
Coast of Chicago_ is the latest selection for the city's One Book, One
Chicago program.  We really wanted to reprint that book in paperback, but
Picador outbid us.  Still, we did snag Dybek's first collection of stories,
