Program exploits Windows 2000 flaw

Rafael Nunez, of Scientech de Venezuela, has released source code on
BugTraq and VulnWatch to test for and exploit a recently discovered flaw in
Microsoft's Internet Information Service 5.0. The flaw originates in the
World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) component and
can allow an attacker to gain control of a system. The flaw was previously
undocumented until one of the US military's public web servers suffered the
attack on March 12, 2003. Nunez emphasized the importance of patching the
flaw before someone writes a virus or worm to exploit it.
