OASIS Looks To Use XML To Assist Fight Aginst Terrorism
The Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards
(OASIS) has formed a committee to develop a global technical framework for
the searching and sharing of suspected criminal and terrorist evidence by
law enforcement agencies. Based in XML, OASIS plans on creating standards
that enable law enforcement in different countries to meet legislative
mandates, such as the U.S. Homeland Security Information Sharing Act. OASIS
is a non-profit consortium.
