Subject: [NetGold] COUNTRIES: Just What Do Those Two Letter Codes Stand For???

There are at least two good places to find the meaning in terms of full
country name for these quite mysterious two letter codes.

In addition for those telephoning from one country to another, there is
this site that provides country calling codes

Country Calling Codes

To Call From United States To Portugal
you have to dial the following number:

011 + 351 + City Info...

And here is yet another country abbreviation list for the two letter
codes

"Two letter ISO (International Organization for Standardization) country
codes and a few historical holdovers from the 1960s (e.g., arpa). They are
handy for access statistics.

For example, see my perl-generated list of page counts by country for last
week. As of 04-Jul-1998, I've started a page of historical visits by
country code. This is generated by a shell script that compares the latest
visits with the previous historical one, and includes the new ones.

Go here if you like tables better. Here are some intradocument shortcuts:
a - f - k - p - u"

And finally, a table of international dialing codes going back to the
telephone:

I hope that this message does not leave its readers out in the code.
